International Business Development Manager - Professional Solutions

REPORTING TO : Sales Director Professional Solutions EMEAI


Reporting to the Sales Director Professional Solutions EMEAI, the International Business Development Manager will take full responsibility for generating sustainable sales growth in Europe. He or she will support the company in actively responding to changing economic conditions and markets. The position will require close collaboration with senior management internally and externally. The person will be based in Germany and will work from his home. The role will require frequent international travel (>50%), this should be a key consideration for any applicant as it will involve periods away from the home base.


Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Secure market share and place new products on the market
  • Open up new business areas, sales markets, products, new customers and partners
  • Ensure further development of existing business areas
  • Generate forecasts and SWOT analyses of future trends
  • Build strategic alliances, networking with additive market
  • Initiate Strategy development , create and implement business plans, by analyze of the competition and by a deep understanding of the customer expectations
  • Arrange and follow up POCs
  • Provide monitoring and reporting
  • Work in a constructive manner and promote co-operation, communication and teamwork with Product Management, Technical Department and Sales Department


  • Educated to degree level; technical sales background preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in an international sales environment
  • Experienced in strategic selling from qualifying to closing
  • Demonstrable track record in deal negotiation and closing
  • Previous experience in technology solutions
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
